AFRICAN SAFARI LEADER - TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1. PRICES:

All of our Prices are in US Dollars, and they show what is included / excluded on our itineraries..

2. AIR TRANSPORTATION:

If you desire, when booking your trip, African Safari Leader will endeavor to arrange the best airfare available. The airline tickets issued by the airlines concerned shall constitute the sole contract between these airlines and the passenger and/or tour members of any of these tours. Should you cancel your trip or change air reservations before or after departure, cancellation penalties may apply.

3. RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENTS:

A minimum non refundable deposit of $300 per person is required at the time of booking a tour.

Upon receipt of deposit, we will, subject to availability, reserve the required accommodations an d flights (if any). In the event that required accommodation is not available we will substitute a comparable property or adjust the itinerary if necessary without compromising the integrity of the overall safari experience. The balance of the trip is due 60 days prior to departure.

4. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY:

The following applies to cancellation of a tour:

Cancellations are only effective on receipt of written notification. If a booking is cancelled prior to 60 days before departure, you forfeit your deposit. If the booking is cancelled less than 8 weeks before departure, African Safari Leader shall retain the full deposit and a cancellation fee will be payable by the client as follows:

59 - 30 days: 20%

29 - 15 days: 50%

14 - 8 days: 750%

7 - 0 days: 100%

Cancellation / Travel insurance is recommended. It is the client’s responsibility to arrange cancellation insurance.

Should a client fail to join a tour after a departure or leave prior to its completion, no refund or liability will be accepted by African Safari Leader.

There will be no refunds from Africa Safari Leader for any unused portions of the tour.

5. ITINERARY CHANGES:

Although every effort is made to adhere to schedules, it should be noted that occasionally routes, lodges and camps may be changed while on or before the safari starts as dictated by changing conditions. Such conditions may be due to migration of animals from one region to another, airline schedule, booking problems, closing or overbooking of a lodge/camp, etc..

6. INSURANCE:

All travelers are advised to and are solely responsible to take out comprehensive travel insurance and to familiarize themselves with any exceptions and conditions as may be imposed by the insurance company or underwriters issuing the policy of insurance which they select.
African Safari Leader shall not be responsible or liable for any of the following:

Information which it or its representatives furnish in relation to travel insurance.

Filing or prosecuting a claim on behalf of the traveler against any insurer.

Underwriter who has issued a policy to the traveler.

Any claim disputed or rejected by the insurer.

Return of monies paid due to any reason for the traveler not being able to make use of the services. It is therefore critical to have insurance to cover traveler against any instance.

7. ANIMALS ON THE SAFARI:

Our safaris may take you to close proximity with wild animals. Obviously, there is a certain degree of danger when you are in the bush with wild animals. Please note that many safari lodges and camps do not have fences and that animals do move freely in and around these areas. Make sure you follow the safety instructions from a lodge or camp's staff with regards to moving to and from your tent/room. Also, from your safari guide while on the safari.

African Safari Leader cannot be held responsible for any injury or incident on the safari..

8. AFRICAN SAFARI LEADER's RESPONSIBILITY:

African Safari Leader acts only as an agent for the owners, contractors and suppliers providing tour services and/or all related travel services and assumes no responsibility whatsoever for injury, personal illness, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service resulting directly from: act of God; detention; annoyance; delays; expenses arising from quarantine; strikes; thefts; pilferage; force majeure; failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled; civil disturbances; terrorism; government restrictions or regulations; and discrepancies or changes in hotel services in which it has no control. Each of these companies is an independent corporation with its own management and is not subject to the control of African Safari Leader.

African Safari Leader and/or its local operators reserve the right to cancel any itinerary or any part of it, or to make such alterations in the itinerary when deemed advisable for the comfort and safety of passengers. On advancement of deposit to African Safari Leader, the depositor agrees to be bound by the above recited terms and conditions..
